Affiliate Disclosure
How Home Audio Guru is funded, and why it doesn’t change what we tell you about a product.
Last updated: July 12, 2026Home Audio Guru is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link on our site and buy something on Amazon, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. That’s how we keep the lights on, and it never changes which products we recommend or what we say about them.
Why We Use Affiliate Links
Researching, testing, and writing detailed home audio content takes real time. Affiliate commissions let us keep every review and guide free to read, without paywalls, without selling ad space to speaker manufacturers, and without accepting payment in exchange for a favorable review.
When you see a link to a product on Amazon, there’s a good chance it’s tagged with our affiliate code. If you go on to buy that product — or sometimes even a different product during the same shopping session — we may receive a small percentage of the sale from Amazon. The price you pay stays exactly the same either way.
What This Does Not Change
What We Recommend
Products are chosen based on our own testing and research, never based on which affiliate commission is highest.
What We Say About It
If a product underperforms or has a real downside, we say so — even if it’s one we link to as an affiliate.
What You Pay
Affiliate commissions come out of Amazon’s margin, not yours. Clicking our links never increases your price.
How the Process Actually Works
- We test and research a product independently, based on real-room use, before forming an opinion about it.
- We write the review or guide based on that research, describing strengths and trade-offs honestly.
- We link to where you can buy it, typically Amazon, using a tagged affiliate link.
- If you purchase through that link, Amazon pays us a small commission, separate from and invisible to your purchase price.
Other Ways We May Be Compensated
In addition to the Amazon Associates Program, some pages may include links to other retailers or services with similar affiliate arrangements. Any such relationship follows the same principle described above: it never determines our recommendations or our opinions.
We do not accept payment from manufacturers or brands in exchange for a review, a rating, or inclusion in a buying guide.
